Chen Lemin, Originally from Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, an expert on European issues, was a researcher and director of the Institute of European Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and President of the European Society. He is the author of 15 Lectures on European Civilization and International Relations in Post-war Western Europe (1945-1984). Born in an old-style family, Chen Leimin has received a traditional Chinese education. As a scholar of western politics and history, he always has deep reverence and nostalgia for traditional Chinese culture. In addition to his research, he is keen on the creation of traditional painting and calligraphy. In July 2018, Chen's family donated 15 pieces of Chen's painting and calligraphy works to Zhejiang art museum. To praise his donations and carry forward traditional culture, the exhibition will be held.
