Over the past three years, various visual art activities have flourished under the support and attention of the provincial party committee and the provincial government. These activities were colorful and fruitful, and excellent teams have been emerging one after another. They included “Ode to Military Spirit: Exhibition of Calligraphy and Painting Works in Zhejiang Province to Commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army”, “Collective Calligraphy and Painting Works in Zhejiang Province”, “The 5th Exhibition of Collective Visual Arts (Arts, Calligraphy, Photography) in Zhejiang Province”, “Wave Riding Cup of Chinese Painting Exhibition in Zhejiang Province”, “Invitational Exhibition of Modern Folk Painting in Zhejiang Province”, “Exhibition of Collective Couplet Calligraphy about Construction of Characteristic Towns in Zhejiang Province”, “Exhibition of Collective Fan Calligraphy in Zhejiang Province”, “Exhibition of Excellent Photography Works about Construction of Characteristic Towns in Zhejiang Province”, “Exhibition of Photos about Achievements in the Construction of Rural Cultural Halls in Zhejiang Province”, “Beautiful China and Beautiful Qatar: Photography Exhibition of China Qatar 2016 Year of Culture”, and “Belt and Road and Beautiful Life: Mobile Photography Competition”. The collective visual arts moves from internal exchanges within the province and mutual communication with other provinces to foreign countries, and visual arts have become a bridge for Zhejiang to communicate with the outside world culturally. A number of high-quality collective arts, photography and calligraphy activities have stimulated the creative passion of grassroots art lovers in the city. Nearly 500 works of fine arts, more than 100 calligraphy works, and more than 1,000 photography works created by these grassroots art lovers were displayed or selected in professional and nationwide exhibitions hosted by China Artists Association, China Calligraphers Association, and China Photographers Association, creating a “Zhejiang trend” in the collective arts, calligraphy and photography circles.

It takes three years to make this exhibition happen. It is divided into three sections of arts, calligraphy and photography to show the latest creations of collective visual arts in Zhejiang Province. More than 150 outstanding works are displayed, including various forms and subject matters. They cover many fields of visual arts, such as Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, calligraphy and photography. The artists of collective visual arts in Zhejiang Province passionately depict the brilliant achievements in Zhejiang over the 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China and express their self-confidence and sense of mission in the construction of “Zhejiang as a Cultural Province”.

The exhibition will end on July 3.
