Anna is an artist and art therapist from Italy, covering the fields of art, society, children and adult educa-tion. Its art practices across London, Berlin and China.
Lecture
The lecture will indagate a new approach to art which is called Therapeutic art, born in Italy few years ago. The method focuses on the creative process, on the approach of making art together and on the creations of shared artworks involving children’s, adults, or elderly, in contexts as communities, hospitals, schools etc.
Why the process of making art together is transformative and therapeutic? I ll go through different case studies to analyze how the pleasure of making art and the understanding of the affinity with a certain material is given by the physical interaction and the relationship with it. The case studies will involve my recent works realized in China and Italy in the last couple of years.
