Wu Fuzhi, born in Zhejiang Pujiang, graduated from Shanghai Fine Arts School. He has been professor of Shanghai
Fine Arts School, “professor and dean of Hangzhou National Academy of Art, professor and director of Department of Tradition Chinese Painting in Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts. ”Wu Fuzhi is committed to researching and upholding traditional Chinese paintings, who is the founder of modern art education of Zhejiang School.“Wu Fuzhi is the modern Chinese painter”who is good at“freehand flower and bird painting as well as landscape painting, figure and beast painting. Inheriting essence of eminent artists like Wu Changshuo, eight eccentric artists of Yangzhou and traditional Chinese painters such as Shitao, Bada, Qingteng, Baiyang etc, he blended poem and painting together to form a primitive crudity
style which is magnificent, elegant and original.”The exhibition will display nearly 200 pieces of Wu Fuzhi’s works and a number of precious documents, which is by far the largest scale of his art display. The exhibition is of vital significance of reflecting Wu Fuzhi’s artistic ideology and
