Cheng Ran, graduated from China Academy of Fine Arts, now lives and works in Hangzhou. His works are dedicated to breaking the boundaries of video art and replacing the flat and direct expression with the visual effects of time and space. In this exhibition, there are six sets of images and installations by cheng Ran, mainly discussing the relationship between tradition and contemporary, city and habitant, material life and spiritual world. Cheng Ran tried to narrate to the audience how digital technology is connected with the art world through his creation, by unceasingly exploring the potential of new media as an art form, and by this art form to conduct in-depth thinking and evaluation of real life
