Su Hsien-Fa was born in 1948 in Jiayi, Taiwani,Dean of Taiwan Normal University Fine Arts,professor, Honorary Director of Taiwan International Watercolor Painting Association. He is good at oil painting, watercolor creation, administrative and teaching art, painting creation.He is tutored by Ma Baishui, Li Zefan, Liu Wenhui.Sue melted Chinese literati traits into oriental freehand brushwork,pursuing free and easy style, and bright color taste.
The exhibition is the first of its kind to be held on the mainland for his 68 pieces of works. In addition to three even series of screen paintings " namely spring sakura", "summer lotus", "autumn maple" and "Winter plum blossom" , the more oriental poetry can be seen.
The exhibition can see mature and ease of painting technique from the micro ecology into detachment image by freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese painting, a flowing breath of communion with nature in deep oriental literati temperament.
