ZJAM Shows up at Yiwu Cultural Products Trade Fair and China International Tourism Products Fair with Its Exhibition “Panorama of West Lake”

From April 27 to 30, the 14th China Yiwu Cultural Products Trade Fair and the 11th China International Tourism Products Fair hosted by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism (ZPDCT), China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government were held in Yiwu concurrently for the first time. ZJAM showed up at both events with its exhibition named “Panorama of West Lake: Watermark Printmaking Exhibition” as part of “The Selected Exhibition for Cultural and Tourism Exchanges in Zhejiang Province under the Belt and Road Initiative”.

At the opening ceremony of the two fairs, a delegation led by Luo Shugang, director of the ZPDCT, visited the exhibition hall of ZJAM. Curator Ying Jinfei and Party Secretary and Deputy Curator Du Qun of ZJAM explained the exhibition in detail to the visiting officials and guests. Luo Shugang carefully learned about details of the exhibition and spoke highly of the exhibits and exhibition design.

“The Selected Exhibition for Cultural and Tourism Exchanges in Zhejiang Province under the Belt and Road Initiative” (“The Exhibition of Achievements in Bring Zhejinang Culture to Foreign Countries and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in 2018”) was hosted by the ZPDCT and started with the “Exhibition of Achievements in Bring Zhejinang Culture to Foreign Countries and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in 2018”. Photos, milestones and data about cultural exchange activities that Zhejiang Province carried out in foreign countries and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan during 2018 were selected and displayed to present the cultural exchange achievement of the province as a whole. Excellent exchange exhibitions and exhibition projects that integrated culture with tourism and that demonstrated regional cultural characteristics were selected to showcase the new look of cultural and tourism exchanges made by Zhejiang and pay tribute to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

Exhibition hall of “Panorama of West Lake: Watermark Printmaking Exhibition” from ZJAM

As part of “The Selected Exhibition for Cultural and Tourism Exchanges in Zhejiang Province under the Belt and Road Initiative”, the “Panorama of West Lake: Watermark Printmaking Exhibition” from ZJAM was included in the 2016 Communication and Promotion Funding Project and the Art Creation Funding Project of the China National Arts Fund and was recognized as a key project for cultural exchanges between the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao organized by the ZPDCT in 2018. It was displayed in such countries and regions as Japan, the Czech Republic, Germany and Hong Kong. It has built a platform for bringing Chinese watermark prints to the international stage. It has also strongly promoted the spread and inheritance of Chinese traditional culture and boosted cultural exchanges, mutual learning and cooperation.
